Devin Tuttle
Co-owner and founder of Tutts
Devin Tuttle is the co-owner and founder of Tutts, a company based in Draper, Utah, that focuses on aeration, fertilization, and pest control. He and his dad established the company to serve the Salt Lake community by offering pest control services, structured processes, and quality products.
Founder of Locally Owned Business
Five years ago, he and his dad opened Tutts, starting the lawn care and pest control business from scratch. They worked to build trust and reliability within the community, taking care to deliver consistent services. His background in marketing and customer service, combined with his direct experience in operational and leadership roles, contributed to the company’s progress. The growth of the business has shown him the value of consistency, vision, and daily commitment.
Tutts offers lawn aeration to help improve lawn health by addressing growth and soil issues that impact grass development. It provides a range of options to align with client needs and budgets, aiming to help homeowners maintain a healthier lawn.
Pest control is another essential service provided by Devin. He utilizes advanced methods and high-quality products to manage pests, including rodents, termites, flies, ants, cockroaches, and spiders. These pests can damage homes and compromise health and safety, making effective control a crucial service for clients.
Additionally, Tutts offers a fertilizer and weed management plan to enhance the appearance and condition of lawns, aiming to bring them back to life with targeted care and maintenance.

Devin’s Prior Professional Experience
Before establishing Tutts, he worked as a Customer Service Representative for different organizations. During this period, he earned recognition as a top-performing salesperson in Utah, consistently achieving strong sales results and maintaining high client retention rates. Tuttle also contributed to training others, utilizing clear communication and empathy to foster strong relationships with customers.
He worked as a team member at a Brazilian grill and also held a job at a drive-through soda fountain during high school, which helped him develop work discipline early.
At the age of 15, he completed his first lawn aeration job, an early indicator of the entrepreneurial drive that would later lead him to build Tutts.
Devin’s Personal Background
Devin was raised in Draper, Utah, in a close family environment. He considers his three sisters his best friends and has a two-year-old son. He attended Alta High School, where he participated in football and track, developing teamwork and discipline through sports. He went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Communication from Utah Valley University, where he placed second in a public speaking competition. This experience helped him grow in confidence and develop his speaking skills.
Tuttle is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized at the age of eight. At age twelve, he was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood and later served in the offices of deacon, teacher, and priest. His faith and patriotism hold essential places in his life and daily focus.
Devin’s Achievements and Commitment to Service
He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, during which he built artificial eagle nests to help protect wildlife and infrastructure from wildfires. His commitment to service extended to a humanitarian trip in Guatemala, where he helped build schools, farms, homes, and delivered aid to local communities.
Tuttle donates regularly to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, supporting tithing and fast offerings. He also helped lead two spiritual youth camps in Utah, focusing on faith-centered activities for young people. His leadership roles in mission include serving as a Senior Training Leader, twice as a District Leader, and seven times as a Zone Leader.
Tuttle completed a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, funding his expenses while living away from home with a companion, as companions are regularly changed during missions. He served in around seven to eight different areas with seven to eight different companions. Each day, he woke up to study scriptures, joined his companion for companionship study, planned the day, and then visited people to teach them about Jesus Christ. Throughout his mission in Philadelphia, PA, he focused entirely on service and sharing faith, without participating in work, dating, or social activities, dedicating all his time to teaching about Christ.
Devin also spent three months volunteering at a food bank in St. George, further solidifying his commitment to service to others.
These experiences shaped his commitment to lead, create, and serve with honesty and focus, principles he applies in his business, community activities, and faith-based commitments.
What is an LDS Mission?
A mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a full-time, voluntary service opportunity where young men, typically aged 18–25, and young women, usually aged 19–25, dedicate 18 to 24 months to serving others and sharing teachings about Jesus Christ. Senior couples and older individuals can also serve missions, supporting communities and church efforts in various roles. Mission assignments can be within the individual’s home country or abroad, determined by church leadership through a mix of spiritual inspiration and organizational needs.
Missionaries focus on sharing faith and helping others learn about church teachings, studying scriptures such as the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and teaching principles including faith, repentance, baptism, and enduring commitment to faith. Missionaries connect with individuals and families through door-to-door visits, community service, or online outreach.
Service is a vital part of missions, with missionaries assisting in disaster response, participating in local projects, volunteering at food banks, and providing daily support to communities. Missionaries follow a structured daily routine and work in pairs to maintain focus, discipline, and spiritual growth. Many who complete missions describe the experience as life-changing, strengthening their faith and expanding their understanding of service and community.
